These Payment Terms govern all transactions made through SHUDDHI NGO's website and apps, in accordance with the laws of India and international standards for non-profit organisations. They form part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Accepted payment methods
- Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, American Express (and others depending on the issuing country)
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and other UPI apps)
- E-wallets and internet banking
- Direct bank deposit (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS) to SHUDDHI's account
- Cheque payable to “SHUDDHI”
Online payments are processed by Razorpay, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. For bank deposits and cheques, email your transaction reference and PAN to info@shuddhi.org so we can issue your receipt.
2. Security of transactions
All payment information is transmitted securely using industry-standard SSL encryption. Card and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout; SHUDDHI never sees or stores full card numbers or CVVs.
3. Alternative payment options
If you cannot pay by the methods above, contact us or the campaign organiser through the campaign page to arrange an offline donation by bank transfer or cheque, where legally permissible. We do not accept cash donations above ₹2,000.
4. Disbursement of funds
Donations are first collected by SHUDDHI and then disbursed to the designated beneficiaries (partner NGOs or personal causes) after compliance review:
- 85% of each campaign donation is credited to the beneficiary and paid to their verified bank account after KYC (and, for NGOs, 80G/12A) verification and SHUDDHI's approval.
- The remaining share covers payment-gateway charges, fundraiser commissions and SHUDDHI's Social Impact & Operations Fee, as set out in How your donation is used.
- Bank payout charges, if any, are deducted from the payout and shown before payment.
- Donations to SHUDDHI's own programmes are used for its ongoing social and environmental projects.
5. Compliance with laws
All transactions are governed by the laws of India, including the Income-tax Act, 1961, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and, for foreign contributions, the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.
6. Receipts and record-keeping
You receive a digital receipt by email after a successful transaction. Eligible donations receive an 80G receipt, and SHUDDHI reports them to the Income Tax Department in Form 10BD so they appear in your Form 10BE. Keep your receipt for your tax records.
7. Failed or duplicate payments
If money is deducted but you do not receive a receipt within 24 hours, write to us with your payment ID. Failed payments are normally reversed by your bank automatically. Duplicate or unauthorised payments are refunded as described in our Refund & Donation Policy.
8. Fraud and misuse prevention
If we suspect fraud or misuse, SHUDDHI may suspend transactions, request verification documents and report the matter to the appropriate authorities.
9. Contact
